3 spicy copywriting examples coming your way.
Hi, I’m Ben Watkins 👋 Thanks for joining another edition of La Vie Ben Rose. Every week, I unravel copywriting examples from the most recognized brands. I also look at how to transform your writing with style, clarity, and persuasion so you can build an audience, transform your writing, and create endless opportunities.
Happy Saturday!
I’ve decided to start mentally preparing for a marathon. Now I just need to prepare physically. It’s just another reason to eat more pie and ice cream.
Also! I found some wonderful social ads this week with lovely techniques. They are perfect for helping you write social ads.
I help brands with 1 hour of consulting to actually writing the copy for them on emails, social, and landing pages. You can apply here to work together.
Onward and forward!
I. The Power of the Reversal Technique
The reversal technique: Take one idea and flip it (strikethrough the words) to show the opposing idea.
This ad is the perfect example: From negative self-belief to positive self-belief.
II. Consider Every Emotional Perspective
When people think of hospitals, they tend to think of patients, nurses, and doctors.
To give your ads more emotional appeal, you need to consider an emotional perspective.
This is an ad taken from the perspective of a child. It creates a balance between a serious topic and a playful illustration.
III. Relatable Contrast
This social ad from Bayer is similar to Tylenol. They give relief to those who have headaches.
They use the juxtaposition technique.
It shows a contrasting opinion of how the parents view the bf vs. how the girlfriend views the bf. It’s also relatable and funny.
